Cinedigm, New Video pact for 'Invisible War'

Cinedigm and New Video have collectively acquired United States distribution privileges to docu "The Invisible War," with intends to release the film theatrically this summer time, then an electronic and homevid rollout. "Invisible War," from helmer Kirby Dick ("This Film Is Not Ranked"), focuses on the implications from the many rapes within the U.S. military. Pic won the U.S. Documentary Audience Award only at that year's Sundance Film Festival. "We're honored our first New Video/Cinedigm acquisition is 'The Invisible War,'" stated Chris McGurk, chairman-Boss of Cinedigm. "The film can be quite effective and warrants -- actually, demands -- to appear by as numerous people as you possibly can.Inch New Video co-prexy Susan Margolin added: "Kirby is really a courageous and smart filmmaker, and 'The Invisible War' will certainly ignite a national firestorm." Cinedigm and New Video became a member of forces captured as joint partnership targeted at obtaining and disbursing product. Cinedigm handles theatrical efforts New Video concentrates on homevid and digital platforms, including VOD.
